This is one of those thoughts that will probably dominate your mind for a little while after you've ended a relationship with someone that you were dating for a little while. Will I find a new girlfriend? That question can make you feel hopeful, it can make you feel insecure, it can make you feel a lot of things. However, you should remind yourself that you WILL be able to find a new girlfriend as long as you are doing the right things to try and meet someone else.

What are those things?

1. You should be working on getting over the ex girlfriend and getting excited by the thought of finding a new girlfriend.

Nothing is more motivating than being excited at the idea of getting a new girlfriend. As long as you don't fall back on pessimistic thinking and feeling sorry for yourself about the old relationship ending, you should be good to go. Work on getting over the old one so that you don't bring any unnecessary baggage into a new relationship. You don't want to be one of those guys who meets a woman and immediately starts talking about the ex girlfriend all night long, do you?

2. You should be going out instead of staying home.

Staying home a lot right after breaking up with a girlfriend is about the last thing that you want to do. What are you probably going to end up doing if you just stay at home? You are probably going to end up turning on the radio and listening to some sad song that reminds you of your ex girlfriend. Or, you are going to feel isolated and the more isolated that you feel, the less hopeful you are going to feel about meeting someone new. Get out as much as you can and actively work on socializing with women.

3. You should be approaching women.

You can't expect that you are going to be able to find the next girlfriend if you are the kind of guy who sits by himself at the bar or hangs out in the corner with one of his friends. You have to be willing to get up and approach a woman, even if that is not really something that you are very comfortable with. Always keep in mind that the more women you approach, the better your odds are that you are going to find a connection and eventually end up with a new girlfriend.
